FiatNFP aims to provide quality and professional instruction on the Marquette Method of Natural Family Planning.  This is accomplished by offering online learning platforms for distance clientele and in-person instruction for those located in the southeast Kansas area.

Why fiat?

The word fiat is deeply rooted in the Catholic faith.  It is a Latin word meaning “let it be done.”  In the religious sense, fiat refers to Mary’s response to the angel Gabriel during The Annunciation.  “Let it be done to me according to Your will” was her answer, her fiat.  Mary's Yes! to God and humble acceptance of His plan. 

Fiat means to say “YES!” but it isn't just a response reflecting agreement.  A fiat is a great act of faith and humility, an acceptance of all that will come with your "Yes."  

What is NFP?

Natural family planning is a general term referring to various methods in which a woman’s natural, biological signs of fertility are interpreted to help the couple achieve or avoid pregnancy.  There are many methods of natural family planning.  FiatNFP focuses specifically on educating women and couples on the Marquette Model of NFP.

It is the hope at FiatNFP that couples will echo Mary’s fiat by saying "Yes!" to all that comes with pursuing a natural means of family planning.  Regardless of your background or religious views, FiatNFP looks forward to working with you to achieve your NFP intentions.
